Food is an ever present theme on The Simpsons so us Jerks  decided to sit down and chat about it. How does the show handle America's obesity and overconsumption? Is food Homer's biggest vice? Will Bart grow up to be overweight? All this and more on the latest all Simpsons podcast from The Jerks From Tower One.

  • Thanks Professor. We appreciate it. Also by the way you don't need to use an Apple computer to use iTunes or leave us a review there. I like the episode idea and oddly my favorite technology joke is from Nelson to Skinner: "Next time get a DVD." With Skinner of course returning, "This IS a DVD."

  • I'll trade you this delicious doorstop for your crummy old danish. Love the podcast, guys, you've got a great thing going here and if I were an Applite I would do all the Itunes thingies that help you so much. But instead I live in the Stone Age of the Internet and collect RSS feeds with Winamp. Speaking of, I think there's a place for interesting discussion on Our Favorite Family's relationship with technology: their lack of a family computer is the only thing that can really date the Golden Age episodes. But when computers and Internet jokes do start showing up, are the jokes even worth it? It's a standard problem with sitcoms: Watching somebody use a computer is the most boring thing on TV. Did The Simpsons do it well? What's your favorite technology joke in the series? (I call Frink beating up the Gamble-Tron 2000!)
